Travel Apps
Whilst staying in Brighton, there are a few useful travel apps for your phone:
Brighton & Hove Buses is the main operator of the city’s bus network. Their app allows you to buy tickets at a cheaper rate and includes a map of live bus information and service updates. Student tickets require prior verification, so be sure to download the app before arriving in Brighton.
Brighton and Hove’s social bike scheme is run by Beryl. Rentable bikes can be hired across the city and different pricing options are available for hiring (Riding passes or Pay-as-you-ride). Brighton has a good cycling infrastructure around most of the city and segregated paths are found along most main routes. Both pedal and e-bikes are available for hire and a live map of bike locations is found in the app.
Where to Stay
There are plenty of hotel options in Brighton city centre (also see the University of Sussex list of approved accommodation). Airbnb is also a very popular (and sometimes cheaper) option.
